Back in the Game?

This 2012 will be one heck of a roller coaster ride. It will be both extremely exciting and at the same time, very stressful.

When January started, I got the news that UFL (United Football League) will be coming up with a Women’s tournament for this year. I was invited by a former UP player to try out for Performance Kinetics FC.

I already attended one try out. They explained what this was all about. We will actually be semi-pro players that will compete against other local football clubs from Luzon to Mindanao. We will have sponsors, ads, salary and our games will be televised!

Getting back into shape will be no problem. I always accept that challenge of starting from zero and making my way to please the Coach. My main problem is the travel that I would have to make to devote my time to the trainings. A majority of the players trying out reside in Quezon City. And I think it has been finalized that the trainings will be at Philippine Science QC and around UP. If it was only near Makati, that would be great.

I wished I had the freedom to just drive whenever and wherever. Sometimes I wished my parents were not that protective with me. I know they mean well, but what age can I actually make my own decisions and try to take care of myself?

But whatever. Let’s just see how this goes. I know that if I don’t join this, I might regret it. And I know if I join this, there will be a lot of obstacles, consequences and extra fatigue involved. But let’s see.. I’ve always wanted to earn more. And I think this is the raket that I have been looking for. I might actually get to earn a good sum of money for doing something that I love most, my passion - football. 

So far, I think my team is good. We won our first tournament together last Sunday, Jan29!

Sports Photography

I love taking pictures. Sports photography for me is the most challenging one of them all. Since I don’t anymore play for the UAAP, I designated myself to be their official photographer. Hehe

Here are a few pictures I am very proud that I took of their game yesterday.

Hopefully I get to take more beautiful pictures in their next games. Hehe! I love this team. And I absolutely love this sport! :)
